Rooted in Indian highway and street culture, All India Permit revives and foregrounds truck art.
Our recent Initiatives
Truck art workshop
A workshop exploring Indian truck art as a tool for expression, access, and exchange. Through hands-on sessions with painter Shabbu and Farid, women from the Tiny Miracles community were introduced to the craft and invited to reinterpret it in their own way. Held in their own workspace as a safer alternative to the male-dominated truck yard, the workshop resulted in a 100-foot hand-painted canvas later stitched into a series of special-edition tote bags.
Radio Club
A research project exploring uniforms and everyday workwear across India. From religious attire and wrestling outfits to factory uniforms and fishermen’s wear, Radio Club looks at how clothing can hold stories of labour, identity, and cultural memory.
Bonne Suits x AIP
Turning the all-purpose suit into a canvas for Indian truck art. The All India Permit x Bonne Suits collaboration brought together four truck and sign artists to create a limited edition of 21 hand-painted suits, carrying the craft into a new form.
